The all-new Lexus RC F is now on sale in the UK for £59,995 and will arrive over here towards the end of January 2015.
Based on the Lexus IS, the performance coupe will be available in two guises at launch, the entry-level RC F and a £67,995 Carbon variant, with both featuring a new 5.0-litre V8, producing 450bhp and 520Nm. This is paired to an eight speed automatic gearbox featuring manual paddles as standard, and is backed up on the road by Brembo brakes, an active rear wing and Lexus’ automobile Dynamics integrated management system.

A torque-vectoring differential is available, too – standard fit for RC F Carbon models – giving the motorist a choice of three modes to “optimise traction and automobile control”.
Both models also get LED headlights, including automatic high beam function, as well as dual-zone climate control, 19-inch alloy wheels and a touchscreen multimedia system with DAB radio, a DVD player and satnav all fitted.
Guaranteeing peace of mind is safety kit in the form of eight airbags, hill assist Control, blind spot monitors, plus Lane departure and rear cross traffic Alert. comfort is similarly taken care of thanks to cruise control, an auto-dimming rear view mirror, keyless entry, parking sensors and a reversing camera.
Distinguishing the RC F Carbon are specially-designed alloys, Alcantara upholstery, heated front seats, and a mark Levinson surround sound system. The flagship Lexus also gains LFA-derived carbon fibre-reinforced plastic for the roof, bonnet and rear spoiler, which helps to keep weight down.
Optional extras across the range extend to metallic paint and an Adaptive cruise control and pre-crash safety system package.
