SEAT has updated two of its SUVs with new technology, with slightly revised versions of the mid-size Ateca and large Tarraco SUVs now on sale in Britain.
The Ateca XPERIENCE Lux model is now equipped with the Pre-Crash assist safety package as standard. This uses a forward facing video camera to detect an imminent collision, and prepares the car and occupants by tightening the seatbelts, closing any windows and applying the brakes before impact.

A small update comes inside SE and SE technology models with the DSG automatic gearbox, with the inclusion of a leather trimmed steering wheel as standard.

The larger Tarraco – recently crowned our best large SUV in our 2021 new car awards – comes with a small equipment update on SE badged cars (SE and SE Technology).
As standard, SE models are now compatible with SEAT connect telematics. using a smartphone companion app, owners can create an account and keep track of their car remotely through their device, and can control certain car functions such as locking and unlocking through their smartphone.
SEAT connect also introduces online services such as automatic emergency reaction if the car detects an accident has happened, plus live navigation services with real-time traffic data and natural voice recognition control.
Similarly, Tarraco SE and SE technology models are now equipped with adaptive cruise control as standard.
Prices for the updated Ateca range begin from £24,560 for the Ateca SE 1.0 TSI 110, with the refreshed Tarraco line-up coming in from £30,080. The range opens with the Tarraco SE 1.5 TSI Evo 150.
