New Renault Clio signature Nav comes loaded with tech

The Renault Clio is set to get a new signature Nav range-topping model in 2017, which builds on the current Dynamique S Nav specification version of the supermini. 
Heading the Clio range, signature Nav automobiles get a handful of essential technology extras as standard. heated front seats and a height adjustable front passenger seat are joined by a hands-free park assist function, a rear vehicle parking camera, 360-degree vehicle parking sensors, and the Renault R-Link infotainment system with a seven inch touchscreen and satellite navigation. The cabin is finished black part-leather upholstery too.

Standard equipment includes automatic climate control, full LED front and rear lights with daytime running lights, hands totally free keycard, plus power-folding heated mirrors. 17-inch alloy wheels and a leather steering wheel make the cut, too.

The new signature Nav Clio is priced from £17,715 – a significant £1,450 premium over the starting price of the Dynamique S Nav. However, Renault claims the bundle of extra equipment featured on the new range topper is the equivalent of £2,250 on the options list, softening the blow a little.

The signature Nav will be provided with four engine choices and two gearboxes. two petrol engines line up against two diesels – the TCe 90 and the much more powerful TCe 120 are available alongside the diesel dCi 90 and dCi 110 units. EDC dual-clutch automatic gearboxes are optional on the larger TCe 120 petrol and smaller dCi 90 engines. The automatic diesel is the most expensive of the lot, coming in at £20,415.
The addition of signature Nav brings the Clio range to seven models – five trim levels and two hot hatch Renaultsport models are now offered.
